How to help
We are a small non-profit-making group based in South Devon. We are reliant on grant funding alongside a small amount of revenue from products, tree sales and donations.
We have been successful in raising grant funding to cover our running costs, materials and some labour. This has enabled us to carry out tree planting, set up 2 tree nurseries, research the use of trees in making herbal and food products, make some interesting products and also to carry out educational workshops in schools. We also run workshop events for the community and a regular series of volunteer days.

We would like in the future to establish a base in South Devon with a classroom, kitchen, drying room, office, storage facilities and land. This will enable us to become well-established and known in the area as a centre for workshops, volunteering and information. We can extend our practical activities to combine harvesting with making herbal and food products. We can also utilise land to grow native tree species that have shown to be important in our reseach for providing foods and medicine, plus to develop a larger tree nursery to supply local tree planting projects.
We feel that Trees for Health is unique in carrying out activities specifically aimed at the health of people and landscapes. We need funds to enable this work to proceed and there are a number of ways in which you can contribute.
